I was just thinking this other day, just what exactly is your definition of better? Each passing year grants teens/pessimists a chance to dwell on the "suffering" they've been through and to subtly hint to the people who've contributed to that to treat them the way they want to be treated.

Of course, there are people who genuinely wishes for an uplift in every aspect in a new year, but what I can't stand is the constant whining (i repeat: CONSTANT) from the former group I mentioned.

Been through a hard break up? Your parents divorced? Did you move into a new house? Have your friends left you or was there a misunderstanding between you and a good friend? Your crush or best friend(s) not reciprocating the way you expected them to? Poor results the whole year round?

Geez people. Mindset is fucking key.

You can go through shit but if you continuously harbor such poisonous thoughts that only grows and manifests you, you stay that way. You stop moving forward. You stay stagnant.

Get over with yourself, there's about a few good million out there in the world living in poverty, starving to death, waiting for help, seeking for help. Don't add on to the number of humility-less and narcissistic - without they themselves noticing - souls who can only see the universe revolving around them. Emo for a little while then move the fuck on.
