hi again,
lolol, I can't not post about today.
firstly, why can't i have a hair like her :(
I mean, as if I look as pretty or thin as her ~_~~~~~~.
second, fuggin pet society keeps having maintenence. I WANNA SEE THE ITEMS.
and, other then a good ol' long walk, having a good ol' talk like ol' times,
RIGHT IN LOT 1'S CINEMA, and that's not the first poster, in other cinemas, THIS HAS BEEN PUT UP TOO. I'm going to find each and every one of them.
Heart skipped several beats, seeing that.
Slowly, it turned to disgust. Can't believe they're using that as the main movie poster. Urgh.

OK, this post is not yet the events of what I did in June, but rather what I ate lol, this would explain why I'm so fat nao.
Not in any particular order.

I couldn't forget my first experience with it's huge burger. This is only my second time 8D
If you're a burger lover you should definitely try it, despite it being rather expensive. You can't leave the place without feeling bloated to the brim.
It's already a long queue, to get your order. Another good thing about the place is it's FREE FLOW OF DRINK! :D

I like their simple layout. Reminds me of America.
There's a back section to the place, and that area is all red, with comfy armchairs and stuffs. If you're lucky enough to snag those seats, good for you.
Anyway, the burger already looks so tempting from the boxes. lol, and we didn't order just burgers.

There's turkey, and bacon, and some others, argh all of them tastes so good!
AND ONE THING YOU MUST MUST TRY THERE, is their very special Honey Mustard.
Mustards usually goes with beef or some other meat, and I personally dislike mustard. I don't like the extreme spiciness or something that comes out when you eat it.
THIS HOWEVER, is different! It tastes like thousand island, but a much better version of thousand island! It tastes so good and it goes perfect with the dry hard big burger.
The total cost for two french fry, one fish and chip, three burgers and three drinks is actually around $50 - 60. same some money, go with an empty growling stomach and you'll come out with your waistband considerably tighter ;)
AH YAT RESTAURANT
Papa brought me and Jie to this Ah Yat restaurant, which is inside Turf Club o.O, cool, never been in there before. He had a friend there working, so he decided to have our dinner there.
Obviously, it's seafood ~_~
And you get to pick your own fishie/prawn
Actually I didn't enjoy the food there at all, but since I took pictures of them, no point sending them to waste.
Disgusting.
Papa saw me barely touching any of those, so he ordered something other than seafood, phew. It was good enough for me, though the rice is still the best hahaha.
And not to mention the fruit too :)
apart from the foul smell you have to tahan with as you're passing through the tables, and the er (to me) bad food, they have a really cool toilet though. I like their taps, very unique.
It looks like this, and you have to press the thing below to make the water come out! Cool eh?

BREAKFAST
Not breakfast in some cool place, not breakfast in some high class restaurant, but just a simple cozy breakfast at home. I love cooking breakfast.
Yeh got cheese sausages,
Bacons to cook,
And an omelette
(beat till very white such as that to get a yummier result, and add some pepper)
And by the time at that, your bacon should be about done and crispy :)
After that, pour your egg inside at the centre of the wok, then hold by the sides of the wok and turn it around, to make sure the egg is evenly spread.
Sprinkle in some bacon (the ones you can find in bottle)
See some signs whether it's ready, then turn off the fire and start to flip it, whoo.
Simple, yet yummy breakfast right infront of you.
Deeeelicious.
It's about 4 eggs, this omelette, by the way.
You can also put these yummy things into a crepe, if you have one.
Scrumptious.
CHEN LI YUAN RESTAURANT
Kor was raving about it, so him, Jie and me went over to try. It's very chinese-y.
I liked the soup the best lol.
Their desert was special.
These are all normal tapiocas or sweet potato. They're covered with some sweet syrup or sugar syrup, dunno, and so they are very sticky, however,
You just have to dip it inside a bowl of hot water and it instantly becomes hard, no longer sticky or dripping.
Cool huh?
It's like chocolate. When you have a chocolate fondue with you, dip the whole thing inside an iced water. Seriously, the chocolate wouldn't go runny or get mixed with your drink, it actually hardens the chocolate and makes it taste like a normal solid chocolate, with the marshmellow or whatever that is under the chocolate.
Anyway, the food wasn't as good as how Kor had said that it was. Perhaps it was because I'm not used to chinese food. It's terribly spicy, those stuff, especially the bbq chicken, sprinkled with the most spiciest things I've ever tasted.
Blech.

GYU KAKU
It's this Japanese BBQ restaurant that's opposite this Raffles hotel or something, if I'm not wrong.
I was really surprised when I saw the 'barbecue pit' fixed at the centre of the table.
Seems like it's really a "barbecue" restaurant - you really bbq by yourselves with the meat provided! Super cool.
Starters, kimchi and something,
followed by one of the most BEST tasted salad I've ever eaten.
It's simply just spinach with a very nice (transparent looking) sauce, like as though water or something, that adds on a beautiful taste. There are also some crispy bits on the leaves which makes it even more appealling!
I finished mine within minutes.
I still can't remember the name, but it sounds like "Horrendous". Maybe it's horrendu or something.
Our meat came next.
Mmmmm.
Papa cooked them immediately.
While waiting for them to be cooked, this er waitress er came and asked whether we wanted our rice crispy or normal. She was at the same time mixing this rice inside a hot stone.
Papa immediately said normal, not daring to cry 'crispy' I think, afraid that it'd be overcooked.
Luckily, ours was quite crispy, and the rice tasted so good! It was actually a Korean dish, they decided to have a small mix of their cuisines since there are some barbecue recipes in Japan which Korean has (of better one, of course). I can't imagine eating Japan's normal sticky rice with the meat, anyway.
When we finished eating it, the bbqed stuffs are almost ready 8D
Soon, I have my variety of meat on my plate.

Absolutely divine.
Let me tell you, all these meat are a portion for only two people, and there were 3 of us eating them! It was already so fulling!

After the food, we had our DESERTS. Muaahahahahaha.
I immediately looked for shorbets. Closest thing to orange/lime was Mango. Another desert we ordered was sesame. yuck lol.

Out of all those outings and experiences with different types of food, let me tell you one of the best ever, I'd reckon, would be homecooked ones.
Kor had to stay over, due to convenience (since he's in camp), and for three days, I had three different and wonderfully delectable din-din.
On the first night, we had ......
Spaghetti :D
It was very exciting and fun cooking it LOL, what made everything even more tastier was that BACON was used! wheet! And my favourite chicken.

After a while, everything was done. The spaghetti, the sauce, the chicken, THE BACON, and it's ready to be served.
Waiting to eat something that looked so tasty can be torturing.
If you haven't had the slightest feeling of eating any of those food I've shown above, these ought to make you feel that way.
GOD, when I twirled the spaghetti on my fork, before stuffing it into my mouth, trying to add in some bacon at the same time.
IT TASTED LIKE HEAVEN.
The carbonara sauce is so yummy, so cheesy, so good, everything went so well. The chicken I cooked also went well too! MM MM MMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
Sucky thing was I had to be the one to wash the dishes ~_~.
On day 2, which I had been looking forward to the most - because Chunky was involved.
We planned on fried rice, going together with a Chunky soup. I would've picked my usual; Clam Chowder, but decided to try something new.
We cooked too much rice I think, and I also added in too much soya sauce to the egg, making it really watery :/
The result wasn't what I had planned. It tasted good, but just not as super as what I would've expected it to be.
The soup was also just normal, tasted like ABC soup lol!
We had a mix of a lot of thing inside the fried rice. There were so much that I couldn't finish my plate, nor could Kor! hmmm.
This time though, Kor was the one washing hehe 8D
On the last day, we decided to just cook a normal meal, like any other household. Basic stuffs, meat, vege, rice, you know.
Kor added any random stuffs he found around to make use of them. I could smell the aroma from far, couldn't wait, but also a little sad that today would be the last day I'd be tasting such great simply yummy homecooked food.
As he was almost done, he also showed me how to make a very simple soup. You just need to have a liquid form of the chicken stock, parsley and egg. Pour all of them in with a well measured water depending on the amount of people eating, wait a while, stir a bit, and voila.
Very easy, very yummy.
Kor also cooked his favourite Sea Shanty,
And one of my favourite was the chicken, and the VERY VERY NICELY MADE SAUCE.
I tell you, the sauce was simply enticing. Luckily it was in great amounts too, because I couldn't stop myself pouring over my rice.

The vegetable (xiao bai cai) was also very nice, but I didn't take a close up photo of it heh.
I had a great meal, and that, was undoubtedly one of the best meals out of all the three days. A little surprising, eh?
I would definitely suggest you homecooking some of your meals, mixed with your favourite things :)
It overrules all the KFC, MacD & japanese restaurant altogether! hehehe.

HELLO.
I have sudden impulses now.
And I'd like to share them, apparently.
I want an ipod.
I never really bothered with one, seeing that I have a phone which can already let me store the songs I want, but..lately, a phone isn't enough. My earpiece is spoiled, and let me tell you, that is the fourth earpiece I have on the same phone!
I fancy Shereen's one, though hahaha.
Still, this is all just an impulse now.
I want to be able to bring all my thousands of songs with me wherever I go.
I want music wherever I go, but I don't know which Ipod would suit me, mm..
I want a phone too, I need a new phone.
And I have my eyes set on a flip phone, and on a brand I've not tried before - Sony Ericsson.
Still considering..cos I have no better phones in my mind yet.
And I want to go shopping lol!

(I hope Kristens' still a virgin, at that :x)
8D and I'm a normal girl.
lol~ just kidding. I'd rather be off impressing Edward Cullen himself, or erm Terro.

And seeing teenvogue online, it really blew my mind away seeing the photos Emma modelled. It was beautiful. Couldn't resist not buying.

After seven months of waiting for this movie, originally delayed by Twilight, IT IS FINALLY HERE. It feels like just yesterday I was boiling my head, furious at the news Warner Bros made, and undoubtedly hating Twilight very, very much.
I couldn't stop squealing, knowing that I was so close, just a few seconds to watching it. I was so happy, the bubble of excitement and elation.
The music came on.

You're at your own risk if you want to read it, even though I'm not sure if you'd bother reading that whole chunk of text. do drop a tag if you managed to finish this whole post word for word.
One thing I'd like to clarify though:
I hate people who watches ONLY the movie and CLAIMS that they are Harry Potter fans. I hate people who only because of the buzz of excitement decides to join in the fun and add in fake words of love for Harry Potter, trying to make others think that they can't live without watching this movie.
You're not a fan either just because you have read the books and watched all the movies, if you don't appreciate and cherish this moment for Harry Potter fans.
I've waited so long for this movie, and I've been rereading the 7 books within a week just for this movie. I did not come to see fake fans who assume that they are such supporters because they spend $6/$8.50 on this movie or that they book earlier for the tickets of this movie.
You're not a fan if you can't even tell me the first name of Professor Sprout.
You're not a fan if you can't tell me what are the last words Dumbledore said to Lupin and Kingsley before he died.
You're not a fan if you can't tell me whose form did Snape's patronus take after, and why.
You're not a fan, NOT ONE BIT AT ALL, if you weren't disappointed in this movie at all.
The start.
I was already prepared for it, seeing those many TV trailers, snippets from "Making the Movie". They begun with the bridge being destroyed by the Deatheaters, and also them kidnapping Ollivanders.
It was still OK.
What came next was something totally out of the blue.
Harry, hanging around near the train station, reading the Daily Prophet, and catching an eye with a black girl (no pun intended), and preparing himself to snog her -.-.
Then Dumbledore appears out of no where and led him to a Side-Along apparition.
HOW RELEVENT WAS THAT.
I'll tell you why they did that scene, it's because by following closely to the book, they'dve wasted at least 20 minutes, showing Harry rereading the letter Dumbledore gave, Dumbledore arriving and having a talk to the Dursleys about Sirius's will.
Dumb attempt at that. Good way of cutting things short, but dumb.
I honestly think that they should improve the way on how Dumbledore acts in the movies. He always sounds so rough, so unconcerned with Harry, firm and in a tone that speaks "you have no choice but to follow". That is not Dumbledore at all, not one bit.
Dumbledore is concerned for Harry, he is kind, soft, gentle, always believes in the best out of everyone. This Dumbledore, now played by the same man who played Professor X in X-Men, however, is the complete opposite of everything that I've just said.
THIS DUMBLEDORE JUST SUCKS.
Slughorn's house was quite nicely played, that part was alright despite some things changed, but at least the concept is there. I just didn't really like how Slughorn was potrayed.
In the book, he sounded like a jolly old man with a deep hearty voice and laugh. This guy just sounds a little timid, and soft too, doesn't fit the role Slughorn at all!
Another thing that changed was the scene where Harry was supposed to be hiding in the Weasley's broom shed, talking to Dumbledore, who would request him to carry his cloak around him at all times, and also talk about Sirius. It was not Harry being left in a small pond, rather far from the house, AND I certainly didn't remember the Weasley's house to be surrounded by tall grass and weeds, and so secluded too!
*Did Yates forget that THERE WAS HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS?
It showed the whole surrounding INCLUDING the exterior of the Weasley's house, as Fred, George, Ron and Harry were flying down.
Not well done at all, they didn't consider what they've already shown. And this isn't the first time they did that in this movie.
I felt so pissed.
At the start, it seemed like Ginny is already in love with Harry, and so was Harry (who a while ago was fantasizing over kissing someone else). They're really speeding up things a lot. GINNY DIDN'T EVEN CARE ABOUT HARRY, SHE COULD ONLY THINK ABOUT DEAN. and HARRY, didn't REALIZE HE LIKED HER ONLY AFTER THE FIRST POTIONS LESSON.
Weasley Wizard Wheezes.
The shop lived it's glory, but Harry, Ron and Hermione following Draco straight to Borgin and Borkes is just tad too fast.
Draco had been in Madam Milkins in the book, and he left that shop to B and B after she tried lifting up the robes of his left hand, which was branded with the dark mark - which is crucial for Harry to make such an assumption of Draco being a deatheater!
I don't like how they were eavesdropping too, when Harry could have used his cloak and Ron with his extendable ears.
Argh. It barely showed anything, how could Harry even think that Draco's a deatheater this way??!!
The ride to Hogwarts was okay, it did match the book.
Luna finding Harry was a little weird too, through spotting Wruckspruts. It was supposed to be TONKS, NOT LUNA. Argh. But maybe they felt that this way, it'd be a little more nicely connected, still, why would Luna stay back to look around? What's the link in that?
Everything else was rushed, other than the Quidditch keeper outing. Throughout the whole time in Hogwarts, other than the potions class and Dumbledore's private meetings with Harry, they barely showed anything!
How about Harry shouting "Protego!", ignoring who he was and who snape was. How about Harry using the Levicorpus charm on Ron?
How about Hermione using the library to try find out more about the Half Blood Prince?
No wonder it was so much less action packed.
What was one of the most frustrating thing was the meetings with Dumbledore, the horcruxes, and Tom Riddle.
THOSE MEETINGS WITH DUMBLEDORE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FILLED WITH INFORMATION ON HOW TO KILL VOLDEMORT. THE MAIN EMPHASIS, OF THIS BOOK, THIS MOVIE, IS ON HOW TO KILL VOLDEMORT.
Tom Riddle looked NOTHING LIKE THAT IN THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS, AND HELLO THEY PLAYED TOM RIDDLE THERE, him talking to Dumbledore on the night he tried to get rid of Aragog. Different hair, face, and everything.
Can they just PLEASE look through the previous movies, and try to match up to it, and not suddenly come up with new things?
What was more was the memories! DUMBLEDORE DIDN'T SHOW ALL THE MEMORIES, THE IMPORTANT CRUCIAL MEMORIES TO HELP ENSURE HARRY IS ABLE TO FIND THE HORCRUXES IN DEATHLY HALLOWS! ARGH!!
WHERE IS THE MEMORY OF THE BADGER, WHICH BELONGED TO HUFFLEPUFF?
WHERE IS THE MEMORY OF THE GAUNTS, which would EXPLAIN TO THE WATCHERS WHY DUMBLEDORE'S HANDS ARE BLACK, AND WHY HE HAS A RING.
Argh I'm absolutely speechless seeing how USELESS those meetings were.
Dumbledore himself didn't talk to Harry a lot either! Possibly because they are afraid DUMBLEDORE IS TOO ROUGH FOR THAT? Tsk.
The cave part was alright, though the boat was supposed to be dropped after Dumbledore pulls a switch. Everything was okay from than on, Snape killing, Harry trying to fight Snape, etc. Then, the show's over. So quickly too.
I hated the ending.
I hated how Dumbledore died in vain.
I hated how there were NO FUNERAL FOR DUMBLEDORE. NO WHITE TOMB.
No Fawke's lament, no Merpeople rising up, paying their respects.
No "Nitwit, oddment, blubber and tweak".
Just ended off with those three on the North tower.
And there wasn't even any tone of protest from Harry when Hermione said they would help him.

DISAPPOINTING.
I feel that honestly the show has been a disappointment to Harry Potter book readers. It cut off a lot of scenes (though not as bad as Order of Phoenix), and everything was too rush, there was barely enough time to explain anything.
It was a good movie still but not in terms of book, however, and I'm going to watch it for at least two more times.
Sigh. they didn't live up to the excitement. They themselves let out lies, talking about how great the movie was.
I wonder how J.K Rowling felt about the movie.
Nevertheless, I still had a great time with the boys, and Shereen.

HELLO.
Somewhere near the end of my misery:
My Physics project is finallyFINALLY done! I couldn't be happier when I saved video and powerpoint into my thumbdrive, daring myself not to believe that after four days of working my eyebags off, today has arrived!
-hugs- to Chin Yen, Chian Yin, Shereen and Vaishu.
I'll do a proper post on all the Physics meeting we've had and stuff when I get a chance to.

Even birds are chirping for me.
^^.
Actually, those birds are currently inhabitating in one of the pot plants outside YoHub. It's my first time seeing a real birds nest, plus with a birds' offspring!
They are really very tiny and cute, especially when they open their mouths like that, it reminds me of all the cartoon birds I've seen doing that on TV! Never thought I'd see one face to face.
I hope they would be well taken care off, and that those playful students/animals would be kept unaware of this. I shudder to think what kind of tom foolery they'd be up to when they discover where these tiny thing is residing at.

Despite completing the project, I've still many to catch up to.
Focusing solely on it, I can honestly say that I neglected my studies. I'm quite far behind now, and I've still so many things that I've yet to understand properly.
It's quite frustrating.
/.\ sigh instead of having a few days off to reward myself, I have to push myself even harder to grasp the topics.
I don't know if that's a look of fear, or grimace.
